Relocating to Georgia

I have set a plan into place to relocate to Georgia North of Atlanta in 2011. I just got back from ATL on July 26. This was my time to look around for houses, schools, churches, shopping etc. I have been to ATL several times but this particular time kind of disappointed me. I didn't feel the same excitement that I have been feeling about the move. I guess because this time it was work and not fun. I have friends in Canton, Woodstock, Atlanta (southside), Buckhead and Alpharetta. My daughter has been in ATL for 6 years and she loves it and so do all of my friends and all say that they would never move back to Maryland. My daughter also said to stay North of ATL because there is less crime and better schools. I am so undecided now and I don't know why. I love the Metro Washington DC area where I was born and raised. I live in Bowie and love it but everything is so expensive here now. I have a 13 year old who will be attending HS and I have chosen Milton HS for her. for what I paid for a house in Bowie I can buy 2 in Georgia for the same price. DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO...........
