Review of Grand Forks, North Dakota

Good luck finding a house.
Star Rating - 8/5/2006
I relocated to Grand Forks about a year ago and am still unable to find suitable housing. The housing market here sucks. For one, there are no houses for sale. Two, the housing market is so inflated that even a smaller older home is in the neighborhood of $150K. If you are interested in a new home it will start at about $140 a square foot and you will have to add about $20,000 to pay for you sewer, sidewalk and street in front of your house. Fargo, only 75 miles south, on the other hand has plentiful housing and a new homes start as low as $85 a square foot. I would move there myself, but I work in Grand Forks.
