Good living in Greensboro

Greensboro, NC is not the most exciting place to live but it is a good place to raise a family or to slow down from metro life. There are plenty of cultural activities to take part in, lots of lovely parks, and as the name indicates, one of the first things people say when visiting from other areas is, "Wow, I didn't know the 'green' in 'Greensboro' was so appropriate!"
Greensboro has plenty of trees and greenways, especially for a city its size. We're within easy driving distance to the beach and to the mountains, the cost of living is not high, and other than its own cultural activities, Greensboro is also close to Raleigh, Durham, and Charlotte. Its central location makes it an even more desirable place to live.
Traffic is not terrible. There is the usual snarl at rush hour but other than that, traffic isn't an issue. Greensboro is home to many colleges and universities (A&T State, Bennett College, Elon University School of Law, Guilford College, Greensboro College, Guilford Technical Community College, and UNC-Greensboro). Additionally, Greensboro is within commuting distance of many more colleges and universities in the surrounding areas.
The people are (mostly) friendly, life comes at a manageable pace, and Greensboro is an overall wonderful place to live. With its long-time, active Newcomer's Club, to the Greensboro Symphony and theater groups, the famous Carolina Theater, and the active downtown and art districts, Greensboro has a little something for everyone. Come see!
