Outstanding city

I voluntarily relocated with my job from California to Greenville, SC. I was born and raised in Ca. and was fed up with the smog, gridlock, and rude people. I didn't know what to expect, only saw pictures and read city guides, etc. I must say, I'm blown away. I would hold up downtown Greenville to any so-called high end, metro area (Westwood Village, downtown Pasadena, Beverly Center in CA.) It's relaxing, evenly paced, and very eclectic. This is what other cities think they want to be but are twisted in their thinking about where to sink everyone's taxes. The planners in Greenville have focused on what the people want ( take a hint, oh high and lofty ones in charge :). I've been here a month and have spent several days there just walking. I attended the annual Artisphere and was equally impressed. I love the beauty, shear amount of things to see and do,the great shops and restaurants, and above all, the warm and friendly people.
