If you move here, you're going to regret it.

I moved to Jacksonville in order to attend college, but I'm sorry I did. Jacksonville is a crime-infested, poverty-stricken, narrow-minded city, full to the brim with right-wing Christian zealots. I've lived in several other cities, none of which possess Jacksonville's alarmingly high crime rate. For the most part, people here are neither educated nor cultured, and are not going to accept you unless you are one of them (i.e., southern, socially conservative, and fanatically religious). God forbid you're a northerner, as you will then be on the receiving end of myriad mean-spirited remarks. Let me also say that cultural diversity is lacking here, as everyone seems to be southern, Christian and Anglo-Saxon in heritage. When I first moved here, I didn't realize how narrow-minded and ignorant the vast majority of the city's residents are. I plan on moving away as soon as I can.
