Beware: Marylanders are overrated; too Eastern, no

I've lived in Maryland over 5 years now, and despite the on-off economy, been very disappointed with it operates and treats people.
Most residents appear to come from two places: Northeast states close to it(especially NY, NJ, PA), or foreign countries--both think and act as Maryland is the ONLY US state that exists--they seem unware of states west and south outside of it, except for their ocasional trip up straight to New York, or down to Florida or Myrtle Beach--and NO FURTHER! (I grew up in Texas, where people there are certainly geographically in-tune to all sections of America, not just the eastern seaboard.
Residents appear to be wishy-washy phony liberal Democrats tending to instead support reserved, seemingly Virginia style (and they claim they HATE Virginia!) Republican-style standards--employers judge employees too much on those who act "Eastern" or wear only certain eastern style wardropes to work. Residents enjoy rudeness, using NY style obscenties to each other--they dislike anything friendly, exciting, new or orginal, or things done at all slower than city pace--Like Rip Van Winkles, they'll for something to work in nearby Virginia or up in New York City before its culturally or political acceptable at Annapolis (or nearby DC). They enjoy throwing cigarette butts outside of cars (you'll see piles of them at intersections!) and will STOP fot the longest time when a traffic light is GREEN--they love to honk their horns!
Also, the taxes and skyrocketing living costs can affect oneself.
Montgomery County, MD has the added pleasure of CONTROVERSY--putting HUNDREDS of speed cameras all over its roads, and give residents hard times about registering vehicles if these are not paid!
Unless one has a good paying job already here, that one know can keep them here for several years, and willing to put up with the above bull, I suggest Americans finding another state to live in/move to.
