Maryland is the entire country in one state. You have the mountains in Western Maryland; the beach on the eastern shore, high cost of living in central Maryland and high taxes, housing is expensive but Maryland has almost everything you could find elsewhere altogether. The Federal Government is a good neighbor to have and provides a tremendous economic engine for stability in Maryland, the District of Columbia and Northern Virginia as well. Maryland is not perfect but its a good place to live, work and vacation. I live in Laurel Maryland which is the center of everything.
