Meridian Idaho has been a great place to live. I have been here for just over a year, coming from central California. I was able to find an affordable housing with a large yard and work shop with storage that coincides with the business that I am restarting. Population is much smaller than I am used to, and the drivers are slow and seem to have nowhere to go, but that is noticed by me being from Cali. Air quality is great as I had chronic sinus problems for several years (even had surgery) and have not had a single problem here. Allergies are said to be bad, but only in spring. Last year, my first winter, we had snow a few days before Christmas, and it was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. I also had cars stolen, broken into, tools stolen, garage broken into several times in California. I don't even lock my doors here. I feel very secure and thus able to reduce stress to an almost sleepy level. If you feel homesick, it is easy to find someone from California here in the Boise/Meridian area.
