I love the State of Michigan. Right now, the economy is not at its optimum level...due to the taxers and spenders who currently hold office at the highest levels here.
That being said, Southeastern Michigan offers a lot if you like to play golf, go boating, cross country ski ,etc. weather permitting. Sports, here offer a lot, especially if you are a baseball, basketball, or hockey fan. Cultural Events are available if you are careful in your selection. Ann Arbor is especially nice for cultural, college sports and dining.
What I've written only scratches the surface and doesn't touch on all the good things available Up North, and on the west side of the state.
