Hello!
I really appreciated your comments, and yes the economy in Michigan is stifled. However, a good network (friends, relatives, agencies) etc. is one of the determining factors, for successful leads and interviews. Jobs are advertised, but it appears that qualified human capital has been difficult to obtain, especially, high-tech positions. In addition, a new perspective on career choices, and skill transferability, may assist you too, for increased income options. Michigan appears to be on a slow progression of increasing their economy. New industries, and new job occupations, from casino, hotel, and restaurant industries, will be opening soon. Of course, there are other industries as well, these mentioned because there within my immediate locale.
I empathize with your situation, and change in activities, for your children, because of the extreme climate. Is there a public library nearby, that offers free activities, or programs that your children, may be interested in? If so, this may be a solution to staying indoors, trying to keep your children entertained.
I also, think Columbus, Ohio offers great opportunities for families and single individuals, as well as, the "Four Seasons", climate options.
Sincerely
Deb
