Terrible Roads

Michigan has two seasons, winter & construction. Despite high taxes, freeways and major highways statewide are one non-stop amalgam of patches or potholes; when you get off the freeway 90% of county roads are dirt. Major traffic delays during the summer result from mile after mile of construction zones, and new & repaired roads appear to be constructed out of the cheapest materials because they start falling apart the minute the traffic barrels are removed.
