Bedroom community - work for Dow Chemical
Star Rating - 1/24/2006
If you don't work for the Dow Chemical Corporation, you will probably work in the service industry (restaurant worker, teacher, etc.). You're nobody if you don't work at Dow Chemical. There's hardly any crime, at least it's not reported. The population seems to be around 93% Caucasian, 2% Black and 5% Asian (that's just a guess from living here for 30 years). The highest per capita Ph.D. population because they need educated people to work as Chemists and Executives at Dow. Need I say more? Oh, wait, one more thing...we have a VERY adorable foot bridge that connects where three rivers meet. It's call the Tridge because it's a bridge with three legs. Go online to get an image of it. It's very cute. Home of Northwood University which is a fabulous business school. If you're into that kind of thing. Weather? Snowy, humid and cold. I'm looking forward to moving where the temperatures are in the 70's all year. Where is that?
