It's cold up here but you can't do better than Min

As a 50 year resident of Minneapolis I can tell you a little about this city. You would have to look hard to find a city that has more to offer. Good job market, outstanding park system (lots of inner-city lakes), reasonable housing costs considering wages are decent up here.Always something going on in town including pro sports and good theater. If considering living inner city stay away from North Minneapolis as there is much violent crime there. Best suburbs are northwest, west and south of town such as Eden Prairie,Maple Grove, and Minnetonka. Cons to living here is the long winters (although they are not nearly as severe as they used to be).Traffic can be an issue at rush hour but not like L.A. or Atlanta.People here are a little harder to get to know because most are natives of the state and if you speak Minnesotan, well...Still love my hometown.
