Safe city but not great for 30+ singles

I think Minneapolis is a great city for Minnesotan families. It's generally a safe place, "Minnesota nice" people and a lots of great lakes and nature nearby.
But if you are a transplant from another part of the country and are in your early thirties, Minneapolis is a boring place to be at. Minnesotans get married at a young age and it becomes very difficult to meet people at a later point of your life.
To sum it up, it all depends what you are looking for. Minneapolis can be a great place to be, but it can also be a dissapointment.
