A very nice place to live, work, and play

Yes, Minneapolis gets cold - get over it. The place has superior access to education, jobs, health care, and business development funding.
You can make life almost anything you want here. For young professionals there are plenty of choice employers with world class reputations; excellent restaurants (if you know where to look); great social activities; sports; and condos everywhere. For families there are great schools, great park systems, and many community funded opportunities for fun.
I've read previous comments about our weather, about the crime, and about it being "boring" here. First, I'm glad it's cold because it keeps the riff raff out - we've got no place for crybabies. Second, I dare you to live here for any amount of time and feel as though it is not one of the safest and cleanest cities in America. And, finally, if you can't find plenty of things to do here you might consider yourself to be the problem. Minneapolis has more theater seat per capita than New York; There is a mix of night life ventures, from the swanky to the low rent; There is live music and many points of interest for the cultural arts. From the bohemian West Bank, to the trendy Uptown, to the gilded block E, or the utilitarian warehouse district, there is something for everyone.
We know something in this city, it's not the weather, it's the economy stupid!
