You'll Only Love It If Your Born Here

You will probably read a ton of reviews on here with very conflicting information. Some will be sparkling, raving about here. Others will totally slam this place for numerous reasons.
One important detail to take notice: Where the people that wrote it are originally from. Native Minnesotans are in love with this place. If you move from somewhere else, you probably won't be able to stand it.
They grew up with the fakeness, the pseudo-trendiness, the wanna-be big-city atmosphere. They grew up in the horrible weather, and are very used to sitting in the house. Lots to do in Minnesotan translates to the rest of us: Lots to eat. Eating here is a social activity, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. So if you don't like to eat you will be bored to tears. An extremely dull nightlife combined with a vary narrow view of the world will have you sleeping within minutes of arrival.
Most of these shiny reviews come from people who have never been anywhere else. The worst part is people here constantly self-promote Minnesota, how great it is to live here and how everyone wants to move here. Truthfully, I think less than 2% of the population is U.S. born transplants. People don't move here. I'm here cause I get paid well to be here. Minnesota nice? More like Minnesota ice.
