Life in Naples

I agree with the others that the weather is fantastic in Naples, and they have very lovely beaches. With an average age of 62, it can get a little boring here. My experience with many elderly people in the past has always been that they are a friendly, kind population. Naples is strange in that the older population (in general) is snobby - we can't figure why. We suppose that most here are mid-westerners who are uneducated, sold the farm, and feel that they hit the big time buying a house in Florida, living on the golf course. Have never experienced this culture before. I agree with the comments about Marco Island. It is a very appealing place, and the people are younger and much friendlier. We haven't been to a decent restaurant yet after 3 months visiting. The comments about the bad restaurants have proven true.
