Review of Naples, Florida

Meth problem is alive and well in Naples
Star Rating - 12/3/2007
I lived in Naples for 4 years. It does have a very picturesque downtown, beautiful beaches, but it is a Tale of 3 Cities: the haves, the wannabes and the havenots. The haves live in the million dollar mansions, the wannabes are all old retirees who like to think that living in a rich area or playing golf somehow gives them status, and the havenots mostly into drugs - crystal meth is everywhere in this town and though the police are vigilant its everywhere. The wannabes make up housing association rules to make life homogenous and as boring as themselves. If you have dogs - forget it - they are not well tolerated. So, not a great place to live unless u are insulated by money.
