Review of Omaha, Nebraska

A very polarized town
Star Rating - 2/25/2010
I have lived in 3 different cities. Omaha is my native area. Omaha is not gay friendly! Don't expect to be hired here if you have any sort of feminine characteristics. It's extremely polarized here. If your an atheist you're really an atheist. If you're a democrat you're really a democrat. Most of even the "Liberals" here are closed minded little imps pretending to have their own little subculture. As a test I went to a coffee shop (which sadly is probably the most open minded place to go). I began talking loudly about controversial topics. Most of the people will give me hateful looks and found another seat. The minorities mostly live in SE and NE Omaha. Don't live there! and don't visit after 1 PM. (Statistically speaking) these areas are some of the worst concentrated crime in the nation although the rest of Omaha is virtually crime free. Very few minorities further their education here. (I'm speaking statistically) I have lived in other cities where minorities reached the same educational attainment as the Whites.. there is no reason for this. The weather is oppressive. The people are polite while masking sinister thoughts about how to spread more STDs. The majority of people are obese and pale. (I'm constantly being accused of being sick because I'm thin) and everyone loves eating and watching the boob tube to pass the time. Obesity is a rampant problem here. You may see .5% of the population actually exercise here. Dating is hideous. Only the fat and ugly use the sites. I guess your stuck in a bar or maybe you could try the Christian Old Singles group. Also, if you're protestant don't expect anyone to say "Hi" or offer a friendly nod in church. Stay at home and watch a televangelist. Oh, "the cost of living is low" until you get your house tax statement every year- I had to have restraints so I wouldn't gouge my eyes out. My place was only worth 95,000 and I was paying 200 a month!!!!! Go to KC if you want Midwest at least you might get a little touch of culture.
