Review of Omaha, Nebraska

easy to network
Star Rating - 2/8/2006
Not a transient community---provincial area. Everyone knows everyone, they all went to high school together. networking is easy once you are in. Good Midwestern values----irreverance was common among those i met and hung with. Hard drinking city---if you like to party this is a good spot due to long winters and blue collar environment. yellow pages listed 175 bars. This seems high for a city this size. Lots of Irish Catholics with traditional fatalistic behaviors (Drinking). Little outdoor activity and not very health conscious. Good people though. Surprisingly diverse restaurant choices in Dundee area and Old Market.
