I was very surprised to see all the negative commentary about my beloved city - Omaha, NE. I have lived in Omaha for most of my life. I have lived in several other cities, including the one I was born in (Dayton, OH). I have taken jobs in other cities and I always come back to Omaha. It's safe, great place to raise kids and the people are awesome! The Arts in Omaha are alive and well for a mid-sized city. Those of you that said it's hard to make friends must be locked in your room... I am faced with moving to south Texas for a new job and I am NOT looking forward to living there... Those of you that are lucky enough to live and work in Omaha but complain, should be forced to live in communities that don't promote success or well being.
