Pat, I think most people would agree there is stuff to do, but it gets boring really fast. Outside of going to events or to eat, there isn't zilch to do here. Plus the weather just stinks. BTW I like California much much more than I do Omaha and haven't had any problems with going to the beach.

I can never believe that people in Omaha find it difficult to find something to do. I lived in California for 22 years and find that there's more to do than try to find a parking spot at the overcrowded polluted beach. I suppose if your idea of something to do is professional sports that you need more guidance than anyone can provide. Arts, community activities, Broadway, can be found. Walk out your backdoor and explore. No mountains, ocean also no traffic, pollution, rediculous cost of homes etc.
