sure it is pretty cheap to live here but the crime is waaay worse then is reported. people do not report crime in oxnard. i was born and raised here and moved out of oxnard when i was 17. things were not soo bad when i was a kid but over the years they got horrible!!! drugs are out of control!!!! everyone here is a tweeker!!!!! prostitution is horrible too!!!!!


OVER RUN WITH ILLEGALS!!!! WAAAAY TOO MANY PEOPLE PER HOUSE! AND IT SMELLS! HORRIBLE PLACE TO RAISE A FAMILY!!!!

my husband and i went to red lobster here for fathers day a few months back and our car was broken into in broad daylight!!! with a whole bunch of people and other cars parked in the parking lot.

I lived in Oxnard for twenty years, in Colonia to be exact, and am just wondering what you meant by "everyone here is a tweeker," this is a very strong accusation to make over an entire population. What do you mean by "illegals" did you go around asking people if they were illegal or did you just assume that because they were of hispanic descent they must be "illegal." As far as the drugs and prostitution go, I do not know what parts of Oxnard you were personally visiting as they are not everyone, I would of encountered them by now if they were.

Why is Oxnard city has a high percentage of Mexican people then any other culture residing there?.... Why is crime rate terribly high?... Why is most housing developments in the city look very primitive?...Why do most people of Oxnard drive vehicles without insurances and DLs?... Why are most car garages in residential areas converted to living spaces without the consent of the city?... Why is Oxnard filled with people who are undocumented?... Why is most employment in Oxnard require you to be bi-lingual?... Whys is there a ship load of work temp agencies floating everywhere?... Why won't anybody in the city learn the basic English words to communicate?... AND THE BIGGEST QUESTION IS.... WHY DID I EVER MOVE TO OXNARD IN THE FIRST PLACE? Answer is STUPIDITY!!!! - Happy Holidays from an Ex-resident of the "BIG WHY" city
