I have been living in Phoenix for 16 years. Phoenix has many pluses but if you work in high-tech you're not going to find a good job. All the high-tech companies left in the early 2000's. The housing market is a mess and it is expensive here. The 90's were great in Phoenix, but those days are gone. The summers last about 9 months and the congestion of senior drivers is unbearable. If you're retired and love the heat, maybe this is your place. If you need a high paying job and are raising a family, look someone else.
