Phoenix

I lived in Phoenix for 13 years. It had changed a lot. It does have its drawbacks and benefits as any large city does. Drawbacks: Traffic is difficult and stressful - people don't get to know their neighbors - summers are very hot (and you stay in your airconditioned car, work, or home). Benefits - a lot of large companies (treated well, well pay, great benefits) - any sports or entertainment venue you want (sports, night clubs, golf, and within a few hours of snow skiing, lakes, etc.)- property taxes are very low - no ice to scrape off your vehicle in winter. I left because I wanted a little space (land is expensive in AZ), a small town atmosphere, slower pace, cleaner air, and a place my children could eventually purchase a house (prices are getting very high). As far as drawbacks, there aren't as many as some of the older large cities from the east and west coasts.
