Phoenix-Major City; Small Town Flavor

I moved here about 2 years ago, from the south. The 2,300 mile journey seemed worth it, at first. Cheap cost of living. Beautiful parks and safe area for walking...all within a short distance. Very mild Winters, major stores and nice eateries within a short distance. Used to commuting for work, so 25 minutes didn't bother me. Overall, people are friendly. Now, the culture....much to be desired. (Outside of church, there is none). I miss going down the radio dial and keeping up with the latest and greatest hits. I have to dig deep to find new release. Yes, I can find music on the internet, but I'd rather make better use of my web time. I crave good, (reasonable priced) seafood, not from national chain. I long for green grass, big yards and local lakes. The wages seem to be lower for professional jobs, even for contract work. Otherwise, I gained some life-changing skills, learned a lot about God and me...Mission accomplished! I've got to run. I have a few months left on my lease, then I wave farewell to the valley of the sun.
