This is by far the worst city to live in if you have a family. I lived here for over 7 years with my husband and 2 small children at the time. Gated community.. looked great inside and out cute apartment complex. Then comes Friday and Saturday nights Have you seen that show Cops? That was our life, ghetto birds (helicopters) shining that hot light into our apartment complex looking for gang members and God knows what else. I saw more crime, dead bodies, heard SO many gun shots and left over crime scenes from drive-bys than I care to remember. Have you heard of the Good Samaritan Crimes that started in L.A. that is another thing they do there. You see someone with their headlights off driving in the opposite direction, do NOT flash your lights at them if you do the young boy in the backseat will shoot your ass and then he's in their gang. Yes its that bad. Don't believe me?? Look up the crime rate per capita compared to L.A. - Phoenix is honestly worse. And the heat? Don't get me started and when they tell you its a dry heat, your oven is too I don't think you want to live in it.
