Review of Phoenix, Arizona

Phoenix Arizona - The Worst Place to Live
Star Rating - 3/7/2013
People visit Phoenix from Nov-March with rose colored glasses on. Phoenix, for lack of a better term, is a sh-t hole. The quality of air is the worst second to LA and don't let anyone tell you different. The brownish pinkish cloud that lays over the entire valley is constant. The whole Phoenix Valley is surrounded by mountains you can't even see most days. If you don't have allergies or respitory problems before you move to Phoenix, you will after. The "Arizona Apple Chest" can be found on just about every female in the city. It's from driving into the sun for an hour and a half to work and an hour and a half home every day and not realizing the damage its doing to your face, neck and chest even through your car windshield. A 2 hour a day commute is average and 3 hours a day is pretty normal - there is no public transporation to support a city that is 100 square miles. Hardly anyone car pools so all the car pool lanes that were just constructed are used by single passenger idiots thwarting the traffic laws. All there is to do in Phoenix Arizona is shop and there is a shopping center on every corner and every corner looks just like the last. What else is there to do when its 100+ degrees for 6 months, 105 degrees for 3 of those months and a 110+ in July and August. If you like big jacked up trucks billowing diesle smoke everywhere then Phoenix is the place for you. And the schools - Pheonix ranked 48th in the union for education and its prevelent because nobody votes for anything having to do with posturing education because most of the Haves on the east side go to private schools. If you live on the west side you are a Have-Not and if you live on the east side you are a Have. Culture: I have 1 word for you, Mexican. There are probably more Mexican food places in Phoenix than there are in Mexico. Anything else that is decent will cost you 150 dollars a plate. There are 4+ million people in the Phoenix Metro area and it swells to a million more with all the snowbirds from Oct until May. If you want cheap living, even cheaper wages, don't mind running your AC evert 20 minutes and sitting in a dark house for 6 months, horrible education standards and respitory problems then move to Phoenix, Arizona - the polluted furnace of the southwest.

You too should re-locate to Pittsburgh. Why? Fifty three sunny days annually and that id pushing it.Tons of crimes swept under the rug/ check FBI statistics. We have old people as well, however one must be outstandingly lucky to become 70 years of age.I have buried hordes of close friends in their teen years/30's and 40's these were close friends so good luck to you.Thank God for today...is all I can say to you.

To add to the driving mess. All vehicles including bigrigs can drive in all lanes. Try getting through traffic when they are spresd across the highway. Also, there a no speed restrictions for the bigrigs, or vehicles with trailers. TKe all of this into consideration and then add all the old retirees that drive even though they cannot see, hear, have poor peripheral vision and reaction times. It sad that they have to drive since there is little, if non, public transportation. Drive down Bell Rd from Surprise through Sun City to Arrowhead Mall and watch what is around you.Trucks, old peopl, commuters in a hurry, and texters. Not good.

im a politically moderate conservative white guy from philly, lived in phoenix 3 years and anywhere in the entire phoenix area are the most inconsiderate, rude, pretentious people with anger management issues who blow a fuse AT ANY LITTLE THING. its like people always look like theyre always disgusted n annoyed at EVERYTHING and EVERYONE just cause your breathing their air. Alota, but not all people of phoenix fit the definition of psychopaths which is some1 whois anti-social and lack empathy. Not all people of phoenix r like this but a good amount and more than the average city and i lived in 5 different states. Its like people get very belligerent VERY QUICKLY at almost anything like they dont have any control over their anger. I have never lived anywher where people r like this 2 such a degree of, hostility, bitterness, pretentiousness and with such a high sense of low class that just act like trailer park entitled brats. i just wanna know why they have a chip on their shoulder and such a superiority complex with no reason 2 have 1. its not beverly hills. i been in l hills and its no way near like the high sense of entitlement phoenix people have with no reason…what gave them the right 2 act so superior, belligerent, condesending and so critical and judgmental and so hostile an disgusted 2ward others 4 no other reason just cause they might ask u the time or just breathing their air?…its not beverly hills, its not manhattan, its just phoenix..they gotta get over themselves?

LOL. So sad, but true. I want to add a few things though...People drive CRAZY here. They act like their vehicles are weapons. And if you drive to slow for them, they will pass you, getting as close to sideswiping your car as possible, then cut in front of you, with the least amount of space possible, in between the front of your car and their rear bumper. Its a game for them. Where does this attitude come from???? Also, the quality of men here is substandard. The selection is as dry and sparse as the desert. I don't understand why women strive to be so slender here, and botox their entire face. For what? I don't get that.

YOU ARE WRONG. Arizona is a great place to live when you explore and travel around. Alot of people say we have a large crime rate but we don't. Just because we live next to Mexico does not means there are gangs every where you go. We have many atrractions like castle n coasters, the Arizona arts mueseum, and the Grand Canyon. Also it is not always hot. Many people need to understand just becuase we live in a desert means it is always hot. Secondly you are a sh-t hole. The reason why we have so many trucks is because we are in the middle of traveling goods. There are many magjor cities close by like TUCSON Los Angles San Diego and then there is Mexico trying to bring its goods to the United States. then it does not take an hour to get to your job (DEPENDING WHERE YOU WORK). If you live in Avondale it will take the most 30-40 minutes to get to Downtown Phoenix. Culture is another thing. It is not always Mexican you fat A-S. There IS ALSO NATIVE AMERICAN YOU STUPID. WHY DO YOU THINK WE HAVE MUSUEMS ABOUT THEM.In Mexico, it is not always Mexican, there is also a magority of chinese resturants there. New York is not only white americans. There is also diffrent cultures there to. Finally we are close to many vacations spots like Mexico, California , and of course Las Vegas. This means we don't have to waist thousands of dollars to reach DisneyLand if you can drive there taking only six short hours. If you want culture you can go down under to Mexico and visit Baja California and stay in one of the many seaside cities like Ensenada. In all Arizona is a great place compared to other cities.

That is not the truth at all. Phoenix is just the same as any other city in the U.S.. There is not wrong with this place like in L.A. where earthquakes and other bad things happen. L.A. actually has more mexicans then here so don't start complaining about the culture just being mexican. I would rather beat the heat instead of having to worry about earthquakes, hurricanes or tornadoes anytime and i bet other people do. Driving mess is not at all bad! The freeways are easier to navigate then any other place in the WORLD! We have the most simple highway system in the U.S.. Also, we have the most beautiful sunsets ever with different shades of pink, blue and orange to make a very good facebook photo. Nearby (IF SOME PEOPLE HADN'T NOTICE) we have lakes as well if you want to cool down in the summer. There is also a reason why we have the third biggest wave pool in North America. There are fun things to do like visiting Castle n Coaster's or the World Wildlife Zoo. But, nobody cant forget the Grand Canyon, the jewel of Arizona. Just because it is bad for one person doesn't mean it is bad for everyone else.
