Phoenix, not a place for good, or sane people.

Eighteen years ago when I moved to Phoenix, Arizona, I loved it, but something has happened to turn this once great city into a "hell hole." At that time the cost of living was low, and even though the wages were never that good, one could make a decent living. The climate was hot in the summer, and summers were too long, but somehow, it was worth it to live here in the winters. Then came the builders, the buildings, the highways, the swimming pools, the "changing climate profile", and those trying to make a fast buck. Add the illegals, the gangs, the corruption, the drugs, and the idiots running things here, and presto....you've got "hell on earth." As a result of the greedy housing, banking, and wall street speculators, we found ourselves in a recession, and unable to sell our home, and get out. Of course that meant the low lives got stuck here too. P
resently, it is just a day to day event trying to survive the mean spirited idiots that are here now. The cost of living is ridiculous...driving here is a nightmare, and you dare not comment, gesture, or show any signs of visual disapproval for the dumb asses who run red lights, don't stop at stop signs, and ignore most traffic laws, because most of the drivers act like they're the only ones on the road. Doing so could get you killed...literally! The educational system is a bloody failure, as when it comes time to cut programs to balance the budget, it's the things that matter the most for a healthy society, that the leaders (and I use that term loosely) cut. A decent job is non-existent, and life here is just bearable....barely!!! Issues of water are beginning to be apparent, They won't control the illegals, even though Sheriff Joe tries, and gets crap at every corner just trying to do his job. The people are insane, violent, and some of the most stupid souls on the planet. My advice to those thinking about relocating to Phoenix....Do yourself, and your family a favor, and consider some place else. Phoenix will never be the same again, and take it from those of us (and there's a hell of a lot of us) who would love to be able to leave..... and don't come here.
G.J. Phoenix resident.
