Review of Phoenix, Arizona

Pluses and Minuses
Star Rating - 6/10/2009
I moved here four months ago and this city and state has it's pluses and minuses. The view is amazing, so many things to do, public transportation is amazing, cost of living is very cheap and the crime is low. Being only two and a half hours from mexico it does not feel like you are in america. The weather was good the first couple of months but has turned extremely hot and while their is no humidity hot is hot. The housing market and economy badly damaged and from the conservative leadership they refuse to take the bailout money to restore the economy as a result the deficit is over 6 billion dollars and eventually they will raise taxes!! At this time I would not recommend anyone moving here until the economy stablizes and if your not into heat it will not be for you or if,you are big on the american way!

It sounds like you dont know much about Phoenix or politics. Arizona's governor doesnt want stimulus money because in the long term the taxpayers will be burdened with the bill. I dont know why so many poeple think money grows on trees. There is no such thing as a free lunch. And I have no idea why U think Phoenix has great public transportation. The lightrail is a joke, the bus system is abysmal and shuts down at like 9 PM, and its hard to get anywhere without a car. But you are right that the eocnomy in Arizona is HORRIBLE and no good jobs to be found. People should not move here at all until the eocnomy picks up and Phoenix finally has good jobs.

The hole this state finds itself in is a result of the fiscal irreponsibility of their previous governor, a DEMOCRAT.
