Avoid Phoenix like the Plague

I got suckered into living here by the jobs. sure there is work here, but if you are blue collar like me it just a bad idea. So many illegals push the wages down for everyone. Education here is horrible, im not racist at all.. but the tremendous amount of hispanic {easily 60%} many of which do not speak english and it slows the entire classroom down. The teachers have to say everything twice {once in english once in spanish} so obviously they can only teach half as much per session. My wife was born and raised here, ive been here about 4 years. Now that we have a child we want nothing more than to get away from the crime. Phoenix is always in the top five highest crime rates... auto theft, identity theft.. anything theft related. violent crimes are way up, pop density is horrid. the air quality is terrible..smog smog smog. Once a desert oasis this place is just dying now. If you want to raise a family for gods sakes dont move here. The education i cannot stress enough is terrible. consistently ranked the lowest in the country. Great place to move if you are single and into drug epidemics. Meth runs this town. My car got stolen with a week of moving here, and that was in a "good" neighborhood. Lastly you cant touch a house for under 250,000 if its in a decent area. even then it will be built in the late 70's early 80's and be about 1400 sq/ft at the max.
