Dean, I did the opposite as you. I lived in Phoenix ten years ago before moving to Virginia. I now live in Syracuse, and I am thinking about moving back to Phoenix. When I look back I realize I had a great time living there, and after comparing the two, there really is something to that whole "dry heat" thing. You're going to get homesick; it's only natural. Look at it this way: which would you rather complain about: 120 degrees which can be releived by jumping in your pool, or two feet of snow?
