Serious Quality of Life Issues

I read some of these reviews and some people live sheltered lives. They either work part-time or are enjoying retirement. For a young person with goals and a future, Phoenix is disappointing. If you're not into tattoos, UFC, pitbulls, jacked-up pickup trucks, loud Harleys and heavy drinking, you'll have a hard time fitting in to the culture here as a young person.
It's too bad, Phoenix has some decent qualities but the bottom-ranked education can be seen everywhere. There's no leadership at any level. I'd expect the economy to under-perform in this economic recovery period compared to the US average. The housing market is such a large component of the economy that the hits from underwater mortgages, foreclosures and short sells have a staggering and far-reaching effect on the entire area.
