Air quality, crowds, car theft, dangerous roads

Phoenix weather is beautiful in the winter---however we have a significant ozone and pollution problem here that gets worse with each passing year. The traffic is just horrible, and more and more hiouses are being built farther and farther out all the time. We have the highest auto theft rate in the nation, and are among the worst for traffic fatalities for miles driven. Don't fool yourself. This place was heaven 25 years ago (so I hear), excellent 15 years ago, decent 10 years ago, and is pretty high stress and unhealthy today. I am planning to bail as soon as I can find a decent job in a smaller, cleaner, safer environment.
