Review of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Pittsburgh is the pits
Star Rating - 12/16/2010
I see all these places ranking Pittsburgh as the #1 most livable city, but obviously these people who rank it so high have never actually been here. The economy has been down for decades - even while the rest of the nation was booming in the 90s, Pittsburgh remained down. It is near impossible to find a job. I know this from experience - I have been looking for a job for three years and have not found one, and I have a college education. People in this city are apathetic about almost everything, except for two things - Steelers and beer. Finally, there is an arrogance about Pittsburghers, one you won't find in most other cities. They think they are the best, yet they don't have any real reasons to believe that. Come live in Pittsburgh, by all means. You won't think it's the most livable city after a few years here.

I agree with you about jobs, there are no many good jobs here, minimun wage is what u find here in Pittsburgh and surround areas. I do have to say people here are way friendly comparing to People from California who are so arrogant and rude. Weather is not nice here, winter too long summer no even hot enough for the pool. im a certified personal trainer, dance intructor and is not in high deman here, also no bilingual jobs, some people can be racist i have to admit but not so bad as other places i lived before, im hispanic mix with italian and chinese and yes i wish to go back to my Panama soon where i can see the sun again and find a nice decent job, the only reason im here because my kids, i ask them several times why is the reason to stay here is cold and boring..lol. Oh the crime also is very low, that is something i feel good about Pittsburgh since i have kids is a priority to be safe, i wish this place has more jobs and things to do, of course the bad weather too. Thanks
