I just can't let you get away with this one "T". I totally disagree with you except for the "beaches" statement. If you want beaches, you have to dearly pay for them.
Pittsburgh is a great place to live. If you have problems dating, perhaps it's not your stature that prevents you from meeting men, but your negative attitude.
As far as your "stupid sales jobs" statement, this is quite an immature outlook as I have a great sales job. Again, it's a matter of attitude and what you think you are worth as you are interviewing. It is not impossible to find a job here as out unemployment rate is lower than most American cities. Our cost of living is pretty low here, too, so you should be able to live comfortably with your graduate degree. I do, thank God, with my bachelor's degree, which, by the way, I earned at a world class university -- The University of Pittsburgh.
The climate could use a little more sun, I'll grant you that, but, hey, with all the other greats we enjoy here, we also enjoy traveling. I have been all over the U.S., Canada, Central America, the Caribbean and Europe -- and I enjoy coming back home to our gorgeous, super modern Pittsburgh International Airport and breathtaking skyline.
I also enjoy planning a weekend at one of our many entertainment venues: World class sports - Pirates, Steelers or Penguin games are fun!! Or, how about a play, ballet or symphony at our fantastic cultural centers - The Pittsburgh Symphony, Pittsburgh Opera, Pittsbur Ballet and many great actors and actresses will delight your senses!!
What's there not to love? Perhaps dealing with people with attitudes like "T"s.
I can almost guarantee after "T" leaves Pittsburgh, she'll be back, but that's OK. Pittsburghers are characteristically known for their welcoming, friendly and fiercly loyal emotions.
