Student Housing

Housing for most of the University of Pittsburgh's and Carnegie Mellon University's undergraduate students is located in the Oakland and Squirrel Hill neighborhoods, respectively. I would estimate most of these are leased houses with 3-6 occupants with monthly costs ranging 500-1000 dollars before utilities. Houses in Oakland are packed tightly together - some are duplexes. Squirrel Hill offers a bit more space but usually with higher costs. Many apartments are also available in the Shadyside neighborhood.
