Insurance & Real Estate Taxes

I moved to Plano 15 years ago and was shocked by auto and real estate insuance costs and real estate taxes. RE taxes are higher becase of no state income tax and Plano scholls and the community are excellent. It seems like there are an abundance of insurance agents which makes me wonder.
