If your child has autism like mine let me warn you to be super diligent in dealing with Plano schools. Plano schools get sued a lot and now I see why. They kept my son in small room by himself most days last year. I just recently found out after his new teachers called and talked with his old teachers. I am horrified to say the least. No wonder he was so upset about school. (He is non verbal and couldn't tell me what was going on.) We were at the mercy of whatever his teachers did and said.
And all the while I am hearing about how great their special needs program is? Wow. No thank you.
Yes my son has behavioral problems. That's what special needs teachers are trained to deal with. Keeping him alone in a small room all day? Really? That's a solution?? I would have taken him out of school and home schooled him if I knew what was really going on. And if I still lived there they would have a law suit on their hands.
