I will be happy to tell you about what i saw and experienced in Portland. And, by the way, if you happen to have any other questions, please dont hesitate to ask. I went to Portland on July 26th of this year from Los Angeles. All I knew about Portland was whatever research I had done online, but really, I had no idea where i was going. To put it shortly, Portland waaaay exceeded all my expectations, in a good sense, of course. I dont know much about what's the weather like where you folks are, but let me tell you that after dirty, polluted, intensely hot desert-like Los Angeles Portland was such a pleasant relief. First of all, all the greenery. Everywhere you look, there's trees and grass and flowers everywhere. The surroundidng hill are also covered with forest-like greenery. And they're not new small tiny bushes we see in most of the places around here, but solid older trees that grow high and nicely cover the streets. Secondly, the air was just unbelievable. It was so fresh and crisp, I couldnt get enough of it. For the week that I was there, the weather was incredible. The highs were in the high 70s low 80s and the lows were in the 60s. It was sunny that whole time, but the sun wouldn't burn at all like it does in LA. It was very pleasant. There were very few white clouds in the sky and they brought nice coolness to the place. Oh and another thing, the sky was incredibly blue, i had never seen the sky blue like that. Here in LA, it's pretty much yellowish light blue. About the areas, I stayed in the Downtown area for the whole time, but I also visited the surronding areas like Beaverton and Vancouver to see what it's like. First of all, the downtown in Portland is nothing like the ghetto dirty criminal freak show we have in LA. Downtown in Portland is, believe it or not, bigger than LA's, it is super clean, very green, packed with nice restaurants museums , bars, stores and overall is just gorgeous and very friendly. It reminded me a lot of Europe. The public transportation system is just incredible, u do not need a car pretty much at all. I rented a car there, and it ended up being park in the hotel parking lot for like 2-3 days. The surrounding areas mostly consisted of private houses and appartment building, with big shopping plazas, all the nice restaurants and again very clean and just green everywhere. I found the people of Portland to be very friendly and always willing to help with everything. I felt that they were very kicked back and relax
