Moving to Portland, OR from Milwaukee, WI

Am relocating to Portland, OR in July 09 from Milwaukee, WI. Never even been there before, but researched and read enough to convince me it's the right place to accomplish my future goals and lifestyle, meet a boyfriend who's a thinker and vegetarian as I am. I hear a lot about Portland being cold in the winter, but really, feet of snow and below zero temps for weeks on end (sometimes months) cannot compare to the sound of 40's and mist in Portland! Here I come!
