Not what it used to be

I have lived in Portland nearly all my life. I have watched it change from a unique small city into a mini-New York. This used to be a place where trends were virtually ignored and people were original, and now everybody is jumping someone else's train. The housing is getting so ridiculous that I will likely not be able to buy a house here. I guess I will trade places with the Californians who bought a good percentage of the real estate here, and drove housing prices up. At least the weather is nice there.
