Have lived in Portland since 1963, minus two years in the military, and I can't wait to leave when I retire next year. If you are a pro gay marriage, bicycle riding, latte drinking, sandal wearing liberal, then Portland is for you. As for me, and I voted for Kerry, mind you, so I'm not some right-wing neo-con, I just can't cope with the the rain and the leftist politics anymore. The voters will vote for any and all tax increases that are placed on the ballot. As for the rain, and rain is a four letter word, it seems to rain almost every day during the spring, fall & winter. I love to go to college baseball games but you can never count on the weather cooperating. Am planning to move to California to get away from this depressing weather.
