Portland is one of the most livable and gorgeous city in the US, very nice people live here, people that love outdoor activities, but, and I have to be honest here, the weather is just horrible. It rains 8.5 months out of 12. Summer starts after the 4th of July, and it ends at the end of September. If we are lucky we get the Indian summer which brings nice temperature and weather almost until the end of October. It is never humid in the summer, I've never seen mosquito here, but you have to be pretty resilient to the extremely long rainy season. Portland gets more rain than Seattle, and it is no fun. So many positive thing about my city, but the weather is not one of them. All of my life I've heard many Portlanders say that they love the rain, but as soon as the sun come out, everybody gets out their homes and enjoy the sun. If you can not stand the rain, this is not the place for you.
