Review of Prescott, Arizona

California Dreaming
Star Rating - 11/7/2005
I am one of those Californians that fell in love with Prescott. We bought a home there two years ago. I must say, I agree with the other comments. I bought there to retire in that little country atmosphere, where you could still afford to live on a small income. Now I could not afford to buy another home here if I wanted to. I hate to be one of those nasty Californians but I agree we are destroying this town for the folks who have loved it for so many years.

Reading this in 2019, I want to weep. I wish more Californians had your prescience, and conscience. Prescott is now just another traffic-choked, cookie-cutter, crime-ridden — and unaffordable — California ex-urb. Breaks my heart.
