Small town America in the 50's
Star Rating - 2/3/2008
Last year I was relocated from Texas to Ft. Bragg. On the way there, we drove through Raeford and Immediatly knew, that was where I wanted to live. I made a special point to find a house there. Downtown reminds me of towns from the 50's with one main street down the center and small shops and businesses that line each side of main street. The Neighborhood right around main street is just as reminiscent of the 50's without looking run down. All the streets are lines with trees. It is a picture perfect small town America town. If you sit on the porch, you can uctually hear the birds chirping and woodpeckers busy at work instead of sirens wailing and non stop traffic. The people are friendly and I haven't had any problems with crime of any sort personally. There are no movie theaters or anything for entertainment except for a few pubs but Fayetteville which has just about every kind of shopping, restaurants and entertainment is only a short 15 minute drive.
