LOVED Round Rock

I lived in Round Rock for only 6 months and it was GREAT. We had to move away for job reasons and I am so sad. The growth there is amazing and the cities of Austin and the suburbs have stepped up to build more highways and roads. It is amazing how fast they go up. I loved the variety of restaurants and things to do close by(loved the Round Rock Express basball games). Austin is only a 20 minute drive away. However if you ask the locals they think it is far away. I don't think they are used to "suburbs." Which is all the more charming. The schools are great as is the weather. Sure it is hot but believe it or not the northerner in me kind of got used to it. Plus most housing communities have pools so we all stay cool in the summer that way. I lived in a community called Tera Vista and if I were to move back(fingers crossed) I would move back there.
The only thing that was different from Michigan and Philly(where I am now) is the green. There really aren't the big trees with deep green leaves. If that doesn't really bother you then you are good. Some may say that it is flat as well but just west of the city are the hills and it is beautiful. That is the place to live if you have a nice chunk of change!
