Reasonable Housing, Good Schools

Round Rock is a suburb of Austin--roughly a 45 minute drive, due north. I have lived her over a decade and compared to other areas, it is very affordable. It would be easy to find an entry level home for around $130,000. Unfortunately, nearly ALL of the jobs are located in downtown Austin--which requires a rather lengthy commute. Since Austin is the capitol of Texas--there are plentiful State jobs--which may pay a little less that Private sectors jobs---but the generous benefits more that make up for the lower wages. The downside is the constant heat and powerful allergins in the air. We have a constant influx of people moving into this area--so one could easily move here--to start a new life. Service sector jobs are very plentiful and easy to get---as a way to start a new life. There are many Universities as well as Technicals schools for educational pursuits.
