Gloom and Doom

My fiance and I moved here about 5 months ago and I couldn't hate it more. This has got to be one of the most depressing places in the U.S. People are downright mean here not to mention rude! They also seem to have no sense of humor. I've honestly never felt so unwelcome by a community. It is overcast here pretty much every day which seems to suggest that the sun doesn't even want to visit. Maybe I'm just being naive. I'm from Texas and people there act as if they've known you your whole life. It's hard to meet someone who is not friendly where I'm from. I've said that to people here and they assume that I must be from some hole in the wall town. However, I've been all over Texas in many cities much bigger than Toledo and everyone has always bent over backwards to make me feel comfortable and welcome. All in all I would say that Toledo, Ohio is a very gloom and doom place.
