Education funding

Utah does not adequately pay for education. This state has the highest number of children per household, yet is last in per pupil funding. As a result, good teachers leave and seek gainful employment in other states or professions. I struggle to make ends meet as a Utah teacher, and I really wish that if Utahns are going to have so many children, they would pony up the money to pay for their education.
